He who descended is the very one who
ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe. It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to
be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service,
so that the body of Christ may be built up.

DeaconsDeacons, likewise, are to be men worthy of respect,
sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith
with a clear conscience. They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.
